Last Days of Doc's Life
Doc Holliday died on November 8, 1887 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado of Consumption (or tuberculosis). After Doc had his fight at the O.K. Corral he went to Leadville, Colorado. The winters were too cold to survive with tuberculosis, so he moved down to Denver where there were warmer winters. When that was not working out he moved to Glenwood Springs where the natural springs could maybe help with his condition. Doc Holliday stayed in Hotel Glenwood for the last 57 days of his life. He died in the morning after he asked for his last glass of whiskey. Legend also has it that he looked down at his bare feet and said, "This is funny." although many historians consider this unlikely as he would have been too suck on the day to speak. Even if he did or didn't say anything, no one ever expected him to die in bed with his boots off.
